a cardinal story

preserving their history

our mission

This website was inspired by the efforts at chinook-helicopter.com. The webmasters there have done an incredible job of preserving the history of those airframes. I hope to do the same for the Cessna Cardinal and this is my effort towards that. It will take much time and contribution from the Cardinal community, but I think the Cardinal deserves it. Thanks in advance for any contributions you can make to preserving the history!

Airframe History

We can document to most famous ones first, we can add them all eventually! How many are still registered? Flying? What happened to the Cardinal that was hijacked to Cuba? The one that Paul Gahlinger flew from California to Africa?

Forums

I intend to add a couple of forums for discussion of the history and some general topics. I go to CFO for Cardinal maintenance talk and I don’t ever see this website filling that role.

Other

I’m not sure what other roles may develop here. I’m open to suggestions.

Please be patient. Feel free to share your ideas with me. This is definitely a marathon and not a sprint!
